Media center epg not updating
My Channel Logos allows you to use either black and white or color logos which really add a pop to the EPG.
While the software will attempt to auto-populate all of your logos, you may find some missing.
The files are read on start-up and re-read regularly (see refresh interval settings).
Program for each channel is aggregated from all parts, found in different xmltv files.
For example consider the following excerpt from xmltv file, showing structure of a channel description: To use XMLTV EPG source you need to instantiate it first.
While many people may be used to using channel numbers, you have to admit that trying to find 786 or 932 can get tiresome.
By using logos, you add a visual component that allows for quick and easy channel identification.
If you really want complete control of the channels you see and how you see them, you need an HTPC running the right software.
Windows Media Center has its own options and you can expand upon these using third party options as well.
