Sirius updating message Free x cams
I believe someone else on the board also made note of this.
Now, I'm not sure if they are doing something different with the SL2 as opposed to the SL100, but when I ran the Device Recovery software it took a good 45 minutes to complete and loaded the latest firmware update automatically.
You should see the Updating SIRIUS message for about 7 minutes.
If it's only up for a minute or two, then it may bet hat the update failed again. If you then shutdown your SL2 (by holding down the power switch for 5 seconds) then turn it back on, it should complete the baseband update process.
I placed the SL2 in the car dock several times in an attempt to duplicate the issues I had.1.) Connected while on and started vehicle - good 2.) Connected while off and started vehicle - good 3.) Connected while Paused and vehicle on - good 4.) Plugged into dock while vehicle on and switching from Internet to Sat - good! The truth teller will be if this continues to work over the next week seeing how my symptoms were happening twice a week until recently. Apparently you and I are both getting good information on trying this. Thus far this morning I've done all the things you've done and it has all been good. Boy I am so happy about that, because once I would get this error, I would think have to hit the channel button a few times or at least wait up to 30 seconds for the SL2 to respond. When I had to perform this same process on the SL100 it reverted the firmware to it's factory state. I'll post an update on whether this fixed the home dock to car dock issue. When I had to perform this same process on the SL100 it reverted the firmware to it's factory state. Thanks for the updated info, I look forward to the final outcome to see if your recovery procedure fixes this issue for you. There have been times when they have had problems with the recovery server feeding up the original firmware or even the previous firmware instead of the latest.
